the goggles have 3 different hardware due to global chip shortage, before flashing the firmware, user must check their hardware version of the goggles in the system menu.
V1 orignail
V2 60FPS DVR, if user bought the 60FPS DVR kit, the V1 goggles will upgrade to V2, and firmware also need flash to V2.
V3 new MCU due to chip shortage. due to the performance is same, we didnt name the goggles V3, only hardware is named V3.
Flashing the wrong firmare will cause the DVR not working or menu not working!!!
How to tell the hardware version
In settings-system menu-Firmware version
if FW1: Start with V1.3.9, means V1 hardware
If FW1: Start with V2.3.9, means V2 hardware,
If FW1: Start with V3.3.9, means V3 hardware
How to flash the firmware
Download the firmware from download page, unzip the files,
Normally it have two fileds, the A files is the goggles frimware files, B files is the menu files.
1.Connect goggles to the computer via the USB-C port (no need to plug in battery, the usb c cable must be none PD- dule usb c cable)
2.Hold down the left wheel button, then press the power button.
3.A new removable drive should appear on your computer, then you can release the button now.
4. Copy the firmware files (A and B) to the drive, while copying, the goggles will install the update at the same time
Once the file copying is done, you can remove the drive and restart your goggles.
